Birmingham International Airport

Birmingham International Airport operates a large number of international flights including those to the following destinations: Asia, Australasia, the Caribbean, Central America, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Central America, North America and South America. There are also a large number of domestic flights.

There are numerous places to eat and drink at the airport from Burger King, Frankie and Benny’s to Weather spoons’ and Yates’ bars. There is also a good range of shopping facilities on offer including W H Smiths, Boots, Spar, a duty free, Game Grid and Dixons to name a few.

Links to Birmingham airport are good: By road the airport is at the heart of the UK motorway system. For passengers being picked up or dropped off there is a designated area in front of the main terminal (at present £1 per 15 minutes wait). There is a large number of both long and short stay parking facilities all within easy walking distance of the airport terminals; for the best rates it is recommended to book in advance.

Licensed black cabs operate from outside the arrival terminal 24 hours a day, and operate on a fixed fare zone rate. They accept major credit cards and some can accommodate wheelchairs.

Six major car hire firms operate from the arrivals area and a collect and return area for cars is only a short walk from the building.

A free ‘Air Rail Link’ monorail system connects passengers directly to Birmingham International Station from the terminal building, from where a service runs to Birmingham City Centre every 10 minutes, a journey which takes only 10 minutes. London Euston is only 70 minutes away from Birmingham International Station.

A bus service (no900) runs a regular service from the main terminal into Birmingham Central.
