Bassenthwaite

Situated in the beautiful Borough of Allerdale in the stunning county of Cumbria, Bassenthwaite is an ideal location to plan a stay at any time of the year.

Being a strong agricultural community, Bassenthwaite consists of only two farms, a single pub and not a shop in sight, meaning it is the perfect place to go to get away from the everyday town and city lifestyle. The village is extremely picturesque, with a stream running through it and many rural qualities you would expect from such a location.

Bassenthwaite is located around one mile from Bassenthwaite Lake, a beautiful spot with many popular walks surrounding it, making Bassenthwaite the ideal place to make a peaceful base for exploring the Lake District.

With a number of holiday homes and nearby campsites you won’t be stuck for accommodation choices with many that can be booked in advance.
