One of the Lake District’s most famous residents; Beatrix Potter, is celebrated in The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction.
Split into six parts, the attraction takes the visitor through Beatrix Potter’s life and work, including a short introduction to all 23 of her tales followed by an indoor and outdoor journey through the lives of Jemima Puddle-duck and Peter Rabbit.

You really can’t go wrong with the Lindeth Howe Hotel, especially if you’re looking for tranquility, character and history.
Perched above Lake Windermere (whose view is idyllic from the third floor), Lindeth Howe can appear a little old-fashioned at first, but its charming quality, attentive staff and indoor swimming pool and sauna really made my stay a relaxing one. Paul Bingley
