Bright and modern, Cardiff airport has twice been voted a top ten British Airport (The Telegraph Travel Awards).
The airport has over 50 direct travel destinations and more than 800 one stop destinations around the world. Scheduled routes include Amsterdam, Geneva, Munich, Mercia and Paris. Chartered flights include those to Jamaica, Barbados, Greece, Lapland, Malta and Saudi Arabia.
Rhoose Cardiff Airport Station is a five mile shuttle ride from the airport – a journey which is free for train ticket holders. From here trains run every hour Monday to Saturday into Cardiff Central (every 2 hours on Sundays). There is also a regular bus service into Cardiff from pick up and drop off points at the front of the main terminal.
A resident 24 hour taxi service operates from an office outside the arrivals hall – there is a fixed fare (currently £26) for the journey to Cardiff centre, no matter what time your flight arrives; taxis can be booked in advance or arranged on arrival. Car hire companies based at the airport are Avis, Europcar, Hertz and National Alamo.
Cardiff Airport has a selection of restaurants and bars including Burger King, The Food Village the Scrum Half Bar, Cafe Ritazza and The Echo Bar. Last minute items for the flight can be bought at WH Smith, or in the Nuance Duty Free Shop. A Bureau de Change is available for both inbound and outbound passengers.
There are baby care facilities available in various locations as well as a children’s play area, located in the departure lounge. A special assistance reception desk provides help for passengers with special needs such as wheelchairs or for passengers who may require help when boarding flights.
A tourist information centre can be found in the arrivals hall where information on the latest events and activities in Cardiff can be found.

Holiday Inn Express Cardiff Airport
Next to the terminal building, the Holiday Inn Express Cardiff Airport offers en suite rooms with quadruple-glazed windows. A complimentary shuttle bus operates between the hotel and the terminal building. The modern rooms are air-conditioned and all have satellite TV, a work desk and a power shower. Some of the rooms have views of the airport’s runways and others have views of the Bristol Channel. Breakfast is available from 04:00 to 09:30 every morning. The evening menu features traditional pub dishes and the bar is open until late and sporting events are shown on the bar’s TVs. |

The comfortable Llandaff hotel is a 4-minute drive from the city centre and has free Wi-Fi, free parking, a restaurant and bar. Walk to Cardiff city centre in 30 minutes. Churchills Hotel is next to the parkland of Pontcanna Fields, and is in sight of Llandaff Cathedral.
