Dundee airport is a small regional airport situated 2 miles south of Dundee Centre. The centre of Dundee is easily accessed via the A85 highway. The airport stands next to the River Tay and close to the city’s university and is ideally placed for access to Perth, Forfar, and Montrose, as well as Dundee itself. Fife is also easy to get to from Dundee Airport via the Tay Road Bridge. The airport, being only minutes from the Scottish Trunk Road Network has excellent road links.
At the moment Dundee only receives internal UK flights and a small number of international charter flights. Daily flights run between City of London airport and Dundee airport. There are also direct flights to Jersey.
The airport has one terminal building, two check-in desks and just one gate. There is a cafe on site which offers hot and cold drinks and has a shop attached. At present there is no bureaux de change on site. There are disabled facilities including a rest room, ramps and entrances and exits which are wide enough for wheelchair access.
Car rental companies operate from Dundee airport and on the spot hiring is often possible, but for peace of mind it would be preferable to book in advance. The rental companies are Avis, Hertz, Alamo, Europcar, Thrifty, and Budget Car.
Dundee airport is not directly served by public transport so passengers have to rely on taxis. The closest rail station is Dundee Central and trains from here run to Aberdeen, Perth, Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow. The main bus terminal is situated to the east of Dundee centre and national coach services also stop here.
There is free parking in a small car park situated in front of the terminal.
