Flights from this airport go to 90 destinations worldwide (including the UK). These include Italy, Spain, The Netherlands, Germany, France, Turkey, Belgium, Mexico, and Egypt, Austria, Switzerland and Greece. It is also possible to fly to Brussels in order to get onward connections to places further afield using Singapore Airlines, Air New Zealand and United Airlines.
East Midlands airport is situated off junction 24 of the M1 and also the A42 to the centre of Birmingham. There are both long and short term parking car parks and free pick up and drop off points – the short stay car parks are directly opposite the terminal and of the long stay car parks, are within walking distance of the terminal and the others have a free shuttle service which takes a few minutes.
For passengers travelling by rail a new shuttle link between the airport and East Midlands Parkway Rail Station costs £4.50 at present and the journey takes between 15-20 minutes. Skylink buses pick up from the airport every 30 minutes seven days a week for travel to a variety of destinations including Derby Rail Station and Nottingham Rail Station.
Arrow Taxis operate from just outside the airport and are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Europcar the car rental company have a desk in the arrivals hall and are open from 7.30am to 11.00pm every day except Sundays.
Shops at the airport include Boots, W H Smiths, Dixons, Accessorize and the Aviation Gift Centre. Food and drink outlets include bars, coffee houses and fast food restaurants.
There is an East Midlands Auto Service Centre which is a new on-site garage which allows passengers to take advantage of their break from their car whilst on holiday and have it serviced or repaired.
