Eastbourne

Eastbourne is a large seaside town and borough of East Sussex, located on the southern coast of England. Eastbourne is situated on the eastern end of the South Downs alongside the Beachy Head cliff, where a fabulous lighthouse can be seen.

The position of the main town is behind a cliff, sheltering the town and giving it the reputation as the sunniest place in the United Kingdom. Being a seaside resort, there is no shortage of beach space for summer activities. There are four theatres all producing high-quality entertainment as well as plenty of museums to soak up all of local knowledge.

 

There are also numerous parks for walks, cycle rides, sports and just general relaxation and there are no shortages of hotels and guesthouses, the majority of which line a four-mile shingle beach. Eastbourne is connected to London by the A22, and there are also links to other towns via the A27 road.

Beachy Head
These stunning chalk cliffs and rock faces highlight the rugged coastline of the South Downs. If you travel further you will come across the Seven Sister Cliffs, with more breathtaking views.
