Huddersfield
Huddersfield is a large market town within the Metropolitan Borough of Kirklees, in West Yorkshire, England and features a number of buildings featuring excellent examples of Victorian architecture.
The town has the third highest number of listed buildings of any town or city in the UK with the most conspicuous landmark being Victoria Tower on Castle Hill. Overlooking the town, the tower was constructed to mark Queen Victoria's 60th Jubilee Year. Amongst these historic buildings sits Huddersfield railway station, a Grade I listed building described by John Betjeman as 'the most splendid station facade in England'.

For a spot of retail therapy, you can enjoy a visit to The Pack Horse Centre, which is an indoor shopping area constructed over the former cobblestone street known as the Pack Horse Walk. Huddersfield can be easily accessed by a number of transport avenues, including rail and buses, as well as enjoying its location by the M62.

Housed in several weavers’ cottages that were built during the mid-19th Century, the Colne Valley Museum exhibits work and home life in the early 1850s.
Displaying all the tools of the weavers’ trade, including loom chambers, spinning and cropping rooms; the museum also holds an extensive number of themed exhibitions and events.
