Kettering

Kettering is a town in the north of the county of Northamptonshire, England on the River Ise. Amongst the many attractions that make Kettering so popular is Wicksteed Park, Britain's oldest theme park that remains a popular family day out to this day.

The attractions at Wicksteed Park are divided into 4 themed areas: The Playground, The Fairground, The Lakeside and the Arena, all targeted at suitable age ranges. Swans, geese, ducks and peacocks populate the 30-acre lake and caravan and camping facilities are also offered on 16-acre of land right in the heart of the park.

There are a number of accommodation choices across the area, as well as a great selection of places to eat. The town itself has a few shops and different buildings of interest, with many leisurely walks around the outskirts. The town has a railway station as well as transport links to the A14 and A43, which lead you to the nearby towns of Thrapston and Broughton.
