Leeds Bradford Airport
Leeds Bradford airport runs flights to around 70 destinations worldwide, both for holidaymakers and business travellers. Locations include Africa, Bulgaria, Austria, Belgium, Canary Islands, The Caribbean, Channel Islands, Egypt, Germany, Greece, Holland, Pakistan, Poland, Switzerland, Turkey and America. There are also numerous internal flights to other British airports.
The airport is well signposted both from the M1 motorway and the M62 for people arriving by car. A long term car park provides parking for stays of over 24 hours and is a short distance away from the terminal on a courtesy bus. Short term parking is in a new car park just 1-2 minutes away on foot from the terminal building. In both car parks it is possible to simply turn up and pay or book in advance, online or via telephone.
A taxi rank operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and they accept major credit cards. Most of the taxis can accommodate wheelchairs.
A bus service runs from Leeds Bradford airport every 30 minutes and stops at Leeds train station and bus station and other points within central Leeds. There is also a regular bus service into Bradford from the airport. If travelling from Leeds rail station 20 minutes should be allowed for connection times to the bus.
Avis, Hertz and Europcar hire companies have desks in the arrivals area. There is a range of shops from W H Smith to Superdrug and a well stocked duty free on-site, plus a number of cafes and fast food outlets. All outlets are open during flight times.
There are five ATMs at the airport dispensing British sterling and Euros, as well as a Bureau de Change.
There are special assistance help points for disabled passengers and free wheelchair hire.
