Although based in the city centre, Liverpool One provides a wider experience for the shopper. As well as an excellent choice of retail outlets, anchored by major stores, the centre has open space and history integrated into its structure.

Built on and around some of the older streets of the city, Liverpool One has tried to retain the “district” feel of the original area. The complex is arranged into retail, leisure and accommodation sections, each linked to the others. Some older buildings have been incorporated into the centre and provide a street market area with smaller retail units. There is a nod to history in the arcades and side streets which have been retained in the new structure.
The entertainment section of Liverpool One is based around the 14 screen Odeon cinema. It is surrounded by a selection of eateries from fast food to elegant dining.
Close to the cinema is a unique feature of the centre: Chavasse Park. During building, the centre covered an existing open space; this has been reconstructed as part of Liverpool One. It is a 5 acre open area, beautifully planted, rising in a series of terraces towards the cinema area and providing a calm and relaxing playing area. The park is used regularly for events and activities, often celebrating local talents. It also has a hidden practicality – it covers an underground car park.
