The Star & Shadow Cinema, just over the Byker Bridge in Ouseburn, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, is home to this little treasure of a market.
The market began in 2008 and is now Newcastle's largest vintage, second hand, arts and crafts market.

Over 20 stalls offer an eclectic mix of goods, such as handbags made from old magazines (!), cakes and baked goods, records, books, vintage and retro clothes, jewellery, home ware and recycled products.
A wealth of local second hand traders, sculptor's, painters and craftspeople attend the market.
The market also offers shoppers a unique, eco-friendly, service - a "clothes swap" stall.
The idea is that you bring along any clothes you no longer wear (clean and in good condition - ladies clothes only) and then "swap" then for the same number of items you would like that someone else has brought along. There is a small fee charged, but the clothes themselves are free. Clothes left over at the end of the day are donated to charity.
The market is held bi-monthly at the Star & Shadow Cinema at Ouseburn on the first Sunday of the month from 12-pm-5pm.
It is held on the alternative month at the Grainger Market in Newcastle City Centre.
