Manchester Airport


Manchester Airport is situated in the heart of the north of England, and operates from three terminals. Top destinations of the 200 flight destinations include New York, Orlando, Paris, Las Vegas and London.

For those arriving by car there is a comprehensive range of parking facilities at each of the three terminals, which are colour coded for ease of recognition by drivers. There are also petrol stations and mini supermarkets situated at terminals one and two.

Taxi ranks operate from outside of each of the terminals, with hackney cabs in attendance – they will be should be able to inform passengers of fares before starting the journey and accept credit cards.

Coach services run to and from the airport to all the major UK towns and cities including National Express and the coach ticket desk is open daily from 7am to 6pm. Metrolink is Greater Manchester’s tram service which is not at present directly linked to the airport (although there are plans for this in future). Passengers can access the trams by taking a bus service to Manchester Piccadilly –Manchester’s main rail station, via numerous bus services operate from the airport, services which are now 24 hour.

The Station, Manchester airport’s transport hub provides quick access to Manchester Piccadilly with 9 services an hour, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It also has direct links to Sheffield, York, Newcastle, Leeds and many other UK cities.

All the major car hire operators have desks within the terminal buildings each of which have different opening hours.

Left Luggage facilities are available 24 hours and at present cost £5 per item left.

As you would expect at an airport of this size there is a wide range of bars, restaurants and shops. Eateries include Burger King, Frankie and Benny’s and shops include Spar, W H Smiths and Boots.

Next to Manchester Airport, this Premier Inn has a modern restaurant. There are excellent motorway, rail and bus links. The hotel is served by the No7 Westside Hotels Shuttle Bus Service, which runs between 04:00 and 22:30, calling at all passenger terminals and the airport rail station (Please note this is an independent chargeable service).
Some of the comfortable rooms at Premier Inn can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children (under 16 years). The 2 children are also served a free full breakfast, when accompanied by an adult eating a full breakfast.
