Westfield, London is the largest urban indoor shopping area in Europe. It is also one of the newest – it opened in 2008.
Westfield, London provides a wide range of the major retail outlets, throughout. It also has an added shopping attraction. Based on the parent shopping mall, in Australia, the centre set out to attract the more unusual and exclusive retailers.

The result is “The Village”, a high-end retail area within the complex. Here shoppers can find outlets which would not usually be based in a shopping mall – Gucci, de Beers, Tiffany and Co and Burberry, for example. It is considered that this is the best quality shopping outside the West End of London, with a superb range of luxury goods available.
But family shopping is not neglected and the centre provides well for all age groups. For the very young, there is an active Kids’ Club, which provides events and activities throughout the major school holidays.
For adults there are “Mummy Mornings” on alternate weeks, where parents and carers can socialise, enjoy a talk or demonstration and coffee. The “Mummy Mornings” also provide a Book Club once a month, organised by Foyle’s Book shops.
For all ages, the multiplex Cinema provides 14 screens of entertainment throughout the day. Five of the theatres run 3D entertainments. There is a Children’s Special performance each Saturday and Sunday morning.
For late night dining, the restaurants on the Southern Terrace are open till midnight, Monday – Saturday. The Southern Terrace is accessible even when the rest of the centre is closed, providing a most useful facility.
