Blackpool airport now has flights to 20 European destinations including Austria, Italy, Croatia, Spain, Greece, Sardinia, Madeira, Jersey and Tenerife, as well as being the regional airport for Lancashire and the Lake District.

The nearest rail station is Squires Gate Station, which is a few minutes’ walk from the airport. From here there are trains which leave every hour for Preston, which provides rail links to the rest of the UK.
Inside the terminal Horizon’s bar cafe sells hot food and drinks including favourite local recipes such as Lancashire Hotpot. There is a duty free shop and a newsagent on the concourse.
Three car hire companies operate from Blackpool airport – Hertz, Europcar and Avis.
All customers of Blackpool airport aged over 16 years of age are required to pay an Airport Development Fee of £10.00 which goes towards funding the future of the airport in terms of updating its facilities and extending its routes. Tickets must be bought from pay machines situated within the terminal – travellers without these tickets will be refused flights.
For passengers with reduced mobility there is a dedicated help desk.
