Caithness Glass

Meg Via:
If you’re already in Perthshire, taking in the castles and surrounding highlands, or even simply en route to Loch Ness, Caithness glass is worth a visit, though definitely not a destination on its own. I must admit that I knew little about Caithness glass or paperweights before my first trip, but now I seem to have somehow accumulated a few, as it is hard to avoid being impressed by the processs or the care and attention that goes into the design and creation of each one. There is a factory/gift shop in addition to being able to witness the process of glass-making itself. And if you’re over 16, there is a make-your-own paperweight experience that enables you to leave with a personalised souvenir of your visit.
